The following demos use Michael 4 from DAZ as a test subject. (For female hairstyle demos, see this page.) Note that many of these styles do not have M4 fits; some are not even strictly male styles (needless to say, some of these may not be suitable for much other than - say, depictions of rock musicians).
Hint: If you're using Michael 4 and attempting to use a hairstyle with a Michael 3 fit, try setting the M3 fit value at .950-.960. In my experience, you will likely (and rather unexpectedly) also need to do an xTrans (how much varies from hair to hair - I've used as little as .015 up to about .045). Do keep in mind that these values are starting points.
The following are low-quality renders of a broad spectrum of hairstyles. This page is intended as a very quick reference guide to help the user determine what product will provide a suitable style for the character being worked on at the time. (I originally came up with the idea as an alternative to searching through my runtime to identify what I might want.) Note that these are simply front shots; some may have unusual features not shown from the angle provided. Note also that many hairstyles have a wide variety of morphs, and have varying capabilities of getting away from the initial look.
Hairstyles appear in alphabetical order for easy reference. Vendors/developers are not listed at present.
Because these are low-quality renders, you should not use this guide in order to determine product quality.
